Digging deep
the soul expands
and spreads its wings
to take an overdue flight.

Opening this door
buried so deep
it’s excavated with love
the soul breathes with relief

Patiently, it waited
for an awakening
the heart joined in
to welcome and rejoice

Old soul, you are free
to embrace the warmth
love and be loved
by its one true friend

The soul recharges and nourishes itself
and awaits its final destination
like a happy child
on an adventure of creation.
