One day without oppression
We, like two sparks of electricity,
amongst a world of oppression and fear.
Shall put it all aside for one moment,
and dance the night away.

I can no longer see life as I once have
Darkness has been replaced with light
I still feel it’s lingering effects,
and I fear one day it will return.

Ahh… It’s raining once more.
I step outside and let the cold drops run down my face.
I stood there immersing myself in it’s wetness,
until the rain stopped.
I felt the last bit of moisture gather
running down my cheeks to drop off my chin.
It looks like another storm is an it’s way.
I go to put towels on my car.
Looking around, everything was dry.
That’s when I realized,
The only thing raining was me.

The world of my mind
has been traveled by none.
Take my hand and I shall guide you through it.
